In a generation where young men and women are lost with questions about who Jesus is, how much of Him one should know, and the transition from religion to a 1×1 relationship, the Desire of Nations Youth Church serves as a fellowship that bridges that gap. Created and pioneered with the intention of teens and young adults who will grow in their love for Jesus and their commitment to showcasing Him in their high school, colleges, and community. Starting with a small number of about five members, the fellowship remained tight-knit and kept building with new and consistent members with a desire to serve God. The small youth church began with mini services and bible study and went about its operations normally. As time went on, the youth church went through many adventures with new faces popping in and out and some staying, ultimately the growth was evident.
In the last few years of being a fellowship, we have grown in the understanding of Faith, the Gifts of the Holy Spirit such as Praying in Tongues/ the Holy Spirit and the Fruits of the Spirit. Our weekly meetings are Mondays at 8pm CST with Bible Study on zoom and Fridays at 7pm CST for our weekly prayers. As a fellowship, our goals include building strong men and women for Christ who are confident to show the light of Jesus everywhere they go.
The Youth Ministry of the North America started in 1996. The aim was not just to have a gathering of Christian Youth, but also to develop them as a beacon of light to everyone saved or unsaved. The Ministry was founded as an appropriate response by the Church to cooperate with the Holy Spirit in actively evangelizing and disciplining youths.
The ministry has since grown to reach not just those that attend the annual convention every year but youth all over the nation via our social community and local parish support.
We are the Christian Youth of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, North America, and exist to give God glory.
Our mission is to help the youth to become more Christ-like and filled with the desire and passion to serve and love Him more.
Our vision is to introduce Youth from all Nations to Jesus Christ and to help them grow to be more like Him. We want to implement the tasks of teaching, counseling, praying, mentoring, and training Youth and Teenagers.
It’s all about a personal relationship with God.
Faith is about action.
Purity paves the way to godly intimacy.
God’s will is serving Him and others.
God’s word is alive and active, and will change my life as I read it and meditate on it.
Maximum freedom is found under God’s authority.
Truth is not relative; it is the person of Jesus Christ.
